Neighbourhood
The charming residential district of Gràcia lies about one kilometre north of the city centre. It is full of old narrow streets and lively plazas with little shops, traditional Catalan restaurants, cafés and above all plenty of life. To feel the bohemian laid-back spirit of this district, nothing is better than having a beer in one of its many terraces, among the local youth.
The apartment is ideally located, at the limit between the Gràcia and Eixample districts, where many modernist buildings can be admired. Plaça de Sol, reachable in 15 minutes’ walk to the west, is the most renowned square lined with terrace cafes where people mingle to drink and enjoy life. This area is also known for its culinary diversity, with the highest concentration of foreign restaurants in Barcelona. Discovering the east side of the flat, you will reach Gaudì’s masterpiece, the Sagrada Familia, in less than 10 minutes. You feel like shopping? Passeig de Gràcia, the most beautiful and famous commercial artery in the city is only 15 minutes’ walk away. There, you’ll find designer boutiques but also mainstream brands.
And if you like to start your day with a little exercise, the perfect place is just around the corner. 100 meters from the flat, Passeig de Sant Joan, a tree-lined promenade, is a real haven for dog walkers, cyclists and joggers. Apartment
This delightful two-bedroom apartment has a great location, close to the Sagrada Familia and few metro stops from the very city centre. Two metro stations are located just 5 minutes from the apartment - the Verdaguer Metro station (blue and yellow lines) to the south and Joanic (yellow line) to the north. The yellow line links to the city beaches, the Born district and Passeig de Gràcia. If you don’t feel like cooking, two restaurants are very next to the flat: a tapas bar and a pizzeria.
