Scope of our Services
City Getaway puts in touch owners desiring to rent their fully equipped properties and customers looking for comfortable housing for a short period. By booking a property with City Getaway, you enter in a contractual relationship with the owner of the apartment booked.
The check-in will be performed by the property owner or his/her representative. Once the balance rent and the security deposit have been collected, you will be able to occupy the property.
You must inform City Getaway of your arrival time and your transport mode. If you don't know this information at the time of your booking, you can complete it later logging into My Account, at least 3 days before your arrival.
You should print your booking confirmation in order to have all relevant information concerning the housing and the property manager contact.
Please note that check-in starts from 3 PM and check-out is at 11 AM at the latest. Check-ins and check-outs between 10 PM and 8 AM may be subject to additional fees. To know whether this applies to the apartment you booked, please read carefully the apartment page.
The balance rent and the security deposit will be collected by the property manager upon your arrival.
Accepted methods of payment are indicated on the apartment page.
You can pay your rental in full before your arrival by bank transfer or Paypal directly to the property owner. If you wish to do so, please contact City Getaway once the booking has been made.
A security deposit will be asked at your arrival in the property. It will be returned in full at the end of your stay, once the apartment has been thoroughly checked by the property manager and if it is returned in good conditions. In case of damages caused to the apartment, nuisances or non-compliance with the number of guests, the property manager may keep the security deposit, in part or in full depending on the damages or harm caused.
The security deposit amount varies from one property to another, please read carefully the apartment page. It will also be indicated on your booking confirmation.
Booking Cancellation on behalf of Customer
If you cancel the booking, for any reason, the online prepayment will not be refunded.
Moreover: For cancellations made 14 days or less before the start of the stay: 50 % of total booking price is due.For cancellations made 24h or less before the start of the stay: 100% of total booking price is due.
Please verify the "Important" section in the apartment's page to see if there's no Special cancelation policies. In some apartments there are special cancelation policies or any other important information, please refer to them.
We strongly advise our customers to purchase a travel insurance that covers trip cancellations.
We will send you a new booking confirmation by email for any modification made to the original booking.
A. Modification of dates
a. If you extend your stay, you will have to pay for extra nights.
b. If you reduce the length of your stay, the booking price will not change if the modification is made 14 days or less before the start of the stay. For modifications made 14 days or more before the start of the stay, the booking price will be recalculated on a prorata temporis basis.
B. Modification of the number of guests
a. If you add guests to the booking, you will have to pay for those extra guests.
b.If you reduce the number of guests, the booking price won't change if the modification is made 14 days or less before the start of the stay.
For modifications made 14 days or more before the start of the stay, the booking price will be recalculated according to the number of guests.
Booking Cancellation on behalf of Property Owner
If City Getaway can't provide you with the property booked, we will offer you an alternative housing solution, i.e. a similar property. If you accept this alternative housing offer, a new booking confirmation will be sent to you by email.
However, if no similar property is available at the dates of your stay, City Getaway commits to reimburse you the prepayment made online. In case you have stayed in the property, the reimbursement of the total booking price will be made on a proprata temporis basis.
Obligations of the Parties
OBLIGATIONS OF THE PROPERTY MANAGER
- Be the owner of the property or his/her representative authorized to rent the apartment published on the website.
- Complete properly the property description form, and proceed to modifications when necessary.
- Maintain his/her property in good conditions, with proper furniture and appliances, in conformity with the description published on the website.
- Have a valid housing insurance.
- Provide guests with full enjoyment of the leased property.
- Return security deposit in full at the time of the check-out, if the housing is returned in good conditions.
- However, in case the customer leaves without notice, before the check-out could have been performed, the customer takes the responsibility to receive by bank transfer all or part of the security deposit depending on the conditions of return of the apartment.
OBLIGATIONS OF GUESTS:
- Pay the balance rent and the security deposit as agreed in the Terms and Conditions of Sales.
- Occupy the premises in a peaceful way.
- Not transfer or sublease the property booked.
- Provide the property manager with all relevant documents he/she may ask, such as a passport photocopy.
- Respect the apartment and building rules.
- Be covered against leasing risks. The insurance should cover thief, fire and flooding risks. Proof of insurance may be asked by the property manager at your arrival in the apartment. In case of disaster, the owner declines all responsibility for any liability claim made by his/her insurance company against the tenant. City Getaway can not be held liable for any disaster occurred in the property.
- If the number of guests varies during the course of your stay, you should make the booking for the maximum number of guests for the whole stay (i.e. 5 guests will occupy the property during the first 3 nights, and then 4 guests for the last 2 nights: booking should be made for 5 guests and 5 nights).
Please keep in mind that you will stay in a building where you will have neighbours: we kindly ask you to respect their tranquility. Non-compliance with this rule may result in an exclusion from the apartment.
Please maintain the good general state of the apartment, its furniture and appliances. If you spot any damage in the property, you should contact the property manager without delay in order for him/her to fix the issue as soon as possible.
In case you cause any damage to the apartment or its appliances, the person that makes the booking is the only one responsible from the property manager perspective.
You should make sure the property is returned in good conditions upon your departure (garbage taken out, dished cleaned, etc.) in order to ease the cleaning process. If you have not performed the minimum cleaning required upon check-out, the property manager may retain part of the security depending on the conditions of the apartment.
If you encounter any issue likely to alter the comfort of your stay (heating breakdown, housing doesn't correspond at all to the description on the website, etc.) we will take action towards the owner and fix the situation without delay. However, we cannot guarantee your satisfaction on uncontrollable aspects (neighbourhood, weather, etc.) and we will not intervene on elements that don't alter your comfort (small changes in decoration, etc.).
City Getaway can only be held liable for direct damages resulting from a breach in our service, which scope is defined in the present Terms and Conditions of Sales. Those damages are limited to the amount of the online prepayment made on our website.
City Getaway and the property manager can't be held liable for any direct or indirect damage you might suffer during your stay, including damages caused to persons or goods or loss resulting from a fire or a thief (non-exhaustive list).
Any dispute concerning the rental of an apartment booked on our website shall be settled exclusively by the Commercial Court of RESAPART SAS' headquarter. French Law will apply.
Modification of the Present Terms and Conditions of Sales
City Getaway reserves the right to modify anytime the present Terms and Conditions without notice. Customer should read them on a regular basis.
In case of dispute, only the French version shall be deemed authentic.
The present Terms and Conditions of Use govern the relationship between City Getaway, owned by the company RESAPART SAS, and the users of the website www.City-Getaway.com.
Use of the Website
The website www.City-Getaway.com may only be used for lawful and appropriate purposes, in accordance with the laws applicable in France or in the country from which the website is accessed.
The user undertakes not to:
- Use the website in a fraudulent manner, using the identity of a third party, providing incomplete or false information, or forwarding defamatory, offensive, insulting or invasive information via the website.
- Make fraudulent bookings.
- Attempt to acquire unauthorized access to the website.
Description of the Service
Online publication of apartments:
The property manager (the owner or his/her representative) communicates City Getaway the features of the rental apartment. We then write the description, add pictures and publish the apartment page on the website. For each booking made via its website, City Getaway informs the owner or his/her representative.
The user fills in the search box and accesses a list of apartments that fulfills his/her criteria. Each property comes with a detailed description that includes the rental price and security deposit. The user then completes his/her contact details and proceeds to the online prepayment to confirm the booking. He/she will then receive within few minutes a confirmation email with all relevant information regarding the booking.
An online prepayment is required to confirm the booking. This payment is secured and the user may use a credit card, PayPal or he/she may call us to proceed with the prepayment. The user will then receive a confirmation email with the booking details and the contact information of the property manager. The rental balance will be collected by the property manager upon the arrival at the apartment. Please note that the online prepayment is non-refundable.
In case of non-payment of the online fees, whether it comes from an error in entering an invalid or incorrect credit card number or a fraudulent use of the credit card, City Getaway reserves itself the right to cancel the booking without prior notice.
Limitation of Liability
Information regarding properties is provided to us by property managers. By cooperating with City Getaway, they agree to provide us with truthful information. City Getaway cannot be made liable for false, incomplete or misleading information on properties.
However, our policy being to offer the best possible service to our customers, we select with care the properties published on our website and we proceed to on-spot verification as often as possible to limit those risks.
The user is responsible for completing correctly his/her information details on the website in order to receive properly the booking confirmation City Getaway sends by email.
The brand, the logo, pictures, distinguishing features, property data and all elements that compose City Getaway website are the sole property of City Getaway.
Reproduction or use of any element of the website without prior written authorization from City Getaway is strictly forbidden.
Modification of the Terms and Conditions of Use
City Getaway reserves the right to modify the Terms and Conditions of Use anytime and without prior notice. It is the responsibility of the user to read those conditions on a regular basis.
